I am a lucky mother!!

Something happened yesterday to make me just want to say how much I love and appreciate the great people my children are! I am so very proud of them and their decisions. They, along with my sweet husband, are truly the light of my life. Malori is one of the most positive, happy, and genuinely nice people I have ever known! She is smart and talented. Malori can sit down with anything to write with and on, and create the best stories for children. She is beautiful and can sing like an angel! Her husband Jon, is such a patient and giving person. He is motivated to do well and take good care of his family. Jon is a gifted wood turner and artist. He sings, plays guitar, and writes music. Also, he has become a super big brother and example to Tanner! Laney is sweet, beautiful, funny, and talented! She is an awesome friend with a huge heart. She gives her all to every relationship and truly cares about people. She can sing, play the guitar, act and Dance. It is so wonderful to watch her dance. She also teaches dance to the cutest little ballerinas you have ever seen. Tanner is a smart, happy, good looking boy, who loves his family. He is a hard worker who is not afraid to get in there and do the job right! Tanner will help anyone. He is kind, and seems to have a knack with the elderly, small children, and animals. Tanner has a beautiful base voice that I love to listen to.
I really love my family! I hope they know how much I appreciate them.

What an amazing weekend!

So I had a super weekend!! First, Malori and Jon came on Wednesday night. We got up early on Thursday (Thanksgiving Day) and turned on the Parade, which is always a good time! We were all in the kitchen cooking for Thanksgiving dinner. Everyone was making something and we had the best time visiting and laughing and trying to take turns with the oven. We had dinner at our home for our families. The very first Thanksgiving in our new home! It was great! Then Mal and Jon went to his families house for another dinner...talk about being stuffed! Later, we had left overs which I look forward to as much as the actual dinner. I loved being with my family! My sister, Shakira, and my mom, talked me into going to the Black Friday sales. I have never done this before, but we had a great time! We left at 3:00 am, I know...early right? But, I got much of the Christmas shopping done at great prices! Then Saturday was my birthday...Mal and Jon came back and we put up the Christmas tree. I loved this! We played a really fun game, ate pizza and watched movies. It was a super day. On Sunday, I got to hear Malori and her Sisters-in-law sing in church. That was beautiful! They should make a CD of religous songs, they are that good! We then went to church. It was a GREAT weekend! Looking forward to Christmas with my family.

Election Daze...

So yesterday was November 4th, Election day. We all know how that turned out. Well, we will just have to make the best of it and hopefully the next 4 years will not be a scary as I am worried they might be. I am excited that it is November because I love Thanksgiving! I love to get together with family and have dinner and visit. I love the Macy's Thanksgiving day parade. I love the Turkey coma that hits after you have eaten left overs. It is just a great day. Then comes Christmas which is actually my very favorite day for many of the same reasons as Thanksgiving. I will be pulling down the Christmas decorations very soon and with a new home to decorate it should be a good time. It will be weird since we have lived in the same home for many Christmases and all of the decorations had a place. Now I have to find new places...I am up to the challenge and I am sure my family will help.

I know...I am not good at this!

Ok, I am going to try harder to be better at this blog stuff. Two days ago our home school students went to tour the State Capitol with Senitor Sylvia Allen. It was amazing! We went to places that the public is not usually allowed to go. We were able to go on the Senate floor and see her office. She also talked to the students about the Demecratic process. Tony and I then went to a meeting with my boss. After that we took Tanner and Malori out to dinner and then headed home. It was good to see Mal. We had a good time.

Laney has been working hard on her school work and her two jobs. She is also still dancing and having fun hanging out with her "friend".

Hello to my two loyal readers

Hello again my two loyal readers. Ok, so my friend (yes she is my age) just had her baby on April Fools day. Everyone is fine. She had a boy. I am so happy for her. We had a super Spring Break with the kids and my sister, Shakira's family. We spent some time with them on the house boat and then went to the valley to be with Jon and Malori. Now we are back to reality and boy it has smacked me in the face. My teacher has been sick this week during science fair and we have AIMS next so there is just a bit of stress. On a much happier note...Tanner got a blue ribbon on his project for the Science Fair and he got one of three 100% in his class! Proud Mamma of all of my kids!
Well...I guess that is enough for now.

Life is good!

So I have two full days (today and two half days) until I officially start my Spring break! And Spring officially starts tomorrow! This automatically makes this a good day! I don't think anything can ruin my mood! The sun was up by 6:30 this morning...love that! I heard birds outside...love that! And my kids continue to make me so proud. I adore my husband!
